Heather House is a newly renovated community hub, cafe, and food bank in Sittingbourne, Kent. After a £62,000 transformation, the centre now offers a welcoming space for anyone seeking support, advice, or simply a hot drink and a sandwich.
What we offer:
- A not-for-profit community cafe serving hot drinks, juice, porridge, toast, breakfast rolls, and sandwiches. Prices range from 50p to £2.50, with all costs considered a suggested donation.
- Free meals for children when accompanied by a paying adult, available year-round.
- A food bank and pantry stocked with fresh fruit, vegetables, and meals for those in need.
- Domestic violence support and other essential facilities.
- A play area for children, making the space family-friendly.
- Pay it forward: You can donate towards someone else's food, helping others in the community.
Who is it for? Heather House is open to everyone, especially those experiencing financial hardship, social isolation, or mental health challenges. Pensioners, families, and anyone needing a safe, friendly place to connect are welcome.
