Bucks Mind’s Wellbeing Service offers supportive group activities designed to help adults (18+) in Buckinghamshire who are experiencing moderate to severe mental health difficulties. Our groups are based around the Five Ways to Wellbeing: connect, be active, take notice, keep learning, and give.
We provide a welcoming environment where you can take part in activities such as art, crafting, cooking, interactive games, and group discussions. When possible, we also organise outings and day trips, including walking and bowling.
What to expect:
- Support in your recovery journey, helping you build confidence and independence.
- Opportunities to engage in community activities, volunteering, and even paid work.
- Social interaction with others who have had similar experiences, in a friendly and supportive setting.
- Guidance from experienced Wellbeing Workers and fully trained volunteers.
- All standard materials and resources provided.
After we receive your referral, you’ll be invited to visit a group with your referrer, try out the activities, and meet other service users. If you decide the group is right for you, we’ll agree a start date together. To help you settle in, you’ll be ‘Buddied’ with a staff member, volunteer, or another group member.
Fees: The Wellbeing Service is self-funding and charges a fee. If you are referred through the Community Mental Health Team or Adult Social Care, you may be entitled to funding support. Find out more about our fees here.
Locations: Groups are held in Aylesbury, High Wycombe, Chesham, and Chalfont St Peter.
Access support: If you need any support to access this service, such as a hearing loop, translator, or mobility aids, please contact us to discuss your individual needs.
