The Community Transport Hub provides free information and advice about alternative transport options for Buckinghamshire residents who do not have access to public or private transport.
If you or someone you know is struggling to get to medical or social appointments, our friendly team can help you find the most suitable community transport providers in Buckinghamshire and the surrounding area. We offer details on:
- Dial-a-Ride services
- Community car schemes
- Minibus hire
- Wheelchair accessible taxis
How it works: We listen to your needs and recommend the best transport options for your situation. While we cannot make or take bookings, we provide all the information you need to contact the right provider.
Many people use our service for transport to health and medical appointments, but we also help with social trips, day centres, and other activities. In 2023, we supported over 200 Bucks residents, including young people, older adults, carers, and families.
Accessing the Hub: Call us on 0800 085 8480 (Monday to Friday, 9am–12.30pm) or email transport@communityimpactbucks.org.uk. If you call outside these hours, leave a voicemail and we will aim to call back the next working morning. Please note: the Hub is closed on bank holidays.
Who can use the Hub? Anyone in Buckinghamshire who cannot access other means of transport, for any reason, is welcome to contact us.
Feedback: Our service has helped people find wheelchair accessible transport for hospital appointments and supported those who would otherwise be isolated.
Data privacy: We record call information to monitor needs and improve our service. Personal details are anonymised for reporting purposes.
The Hub line is open Monday to Friday, 9am-12.30pm. Calls outside this time will be picked up by the team’s voicemail and we will aim to call back the next working morning. Please note the Community Transport Hub is not available during bank holidays.
