Leicester City of Sanctuary welcomes asylum seekers and refugees in and around Leicester, helping them rebuild their lives, develop new skills, and feel part of the community.
We offer a range of vital services and enrichment opportunities, including:
- A central Hub providing a warm welcome, support services, and lunch
- ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) classes to help improve language skills
- Exercise and textile sessions for wellbeing and creativity
- Drop-in support five days a week, serving around 150 people weekly
Our services are delivered by a dedicated team of volunteers, many of whom are asylum seekers themselves. We believe in building a supportive, inclusive community where everyone can thrive.
Who can use our services? Asylum seekers and refugees in Leicester and the surrounding area are welcome to join us. We also offer opportunities for volunteering and community involvement.
