Kenya Reading Organisation (KRO) is a community-based charity dedicated to bringing together people of Kenyan heritage and their families in Reading and the surrounding areas. Our mission is to promote social inclusion, provide support, and create opportunities for all members of our community.
What we offer:
- Social & Recreational Activities: Join us for events and activities that foster social and peer support.
- Community Concern: We provide a safe space for open discussions about issues affecting our community.
- Social & Economic Opportunities: We work with local partners to improve access to social and economic resources.
- Cultural Opportunities: Participate in initiatives that promote community awareness, cohesion, and integration.
- Youth Activities & Resources: Inspiring the younger generation through dedicated activities and events.
- Raising Awareness: Sharing and coordinating information relevant to our community.
- Substance Abuse & Crime Support: Peer support activities to address drug abuse, alcoholism, and criminal behaviour.
Who can join? Our services are open to all people of Kenyan heritage and their families living in and around Reading who may be socially excluded due to social or economic circumstances.
