Red Cross Refugee support Berks, Bucks and Oxon

The British Red Cross is the UK's largest independent provider of services and support for refugees and people seeking asylum.

If you are a refugee or asylum seeker in the UK, or if you know someone who is, our teams may be able to support you with:

  • Emergency help – immediate practical support in times of crisis.
  • One-to-one casework – tailored advice and assistance for your individual situation.
  • One-off support – help with specific needs or challenges.
  • Information and signposting – guidance on where to get further help, including referrals to other organisations.

We help refugees from all backgrounds and religions. We will not report you to the authorities.

Additional support includes:

  • Family reunion – advice and help to reunite with family members overseas.
  • Tracing missing family – assistance in finding or keeping in touch with loved ones affected by conflict or disaster.
  • Support for survivors of sexual and gender-based violence – confidential advice and guidance.
  • Anti-trafficking support – help for refugees and asylum seekers who have experienced trafficking.

We also offer dedicated support for young refugees and Ukrainian refugees in the UK.

Our service is free and confidential. We may provide support directly or refer you to other trusted organisations.
