Wellbeing in the Weald [WitW] is a small local charity, currently in its 5th year, offering support and activities to people living in Cranbrook (Kent) and the surrounding villages. The charity primarily aims to support, benefit and involve those who are finding life difficult, whether through loss, loneliness, support or struggles with their mental or physical health. WitW provides and assists in the provision of organised and carefully considered activities and initiatives to promote health, wellbeing, and social inclusion to those living in the town of Cranbrook and surrounding areas. Our activities are designed to enable people to try new things, make connections and encourage friendships with others from a range of social and ethnic backgrounds, and benefit
from improved mental health and wellbeing. These services are not normally provided by recognised healthcare providers or local authorities and are offered free of charge.
All our activities are provided for the aim of improving the health and wellbeing of the participants, as is the aim of our charity. Our aims are to encourage anyone of any age or gender, in any situation, to come to any activity offered by WitW, or to make contact to find out what support we can offer them, including at-home activities or where appropriate, signposting them to a more specific organisation for their needs. To reach out to those who are isolated and forgotten/excluded from everyday society for a variety of reasons, including lack of family,
becoming widowed, being disabled, not having friends locally, living in a very rural area, finding retirement challenging, or other reasons where regular interaction with others has become very limited.
All ages based in Cranbrook (Kent) and surrounding areas.
