This local hire service is for people who may find walking around the forest difficult. Two Trampers are available at Thames Chase Forest Centre so you can explore the main paths after a short introduction and Countryside Mobility sign-up if needed.
- Explore forest paths, woodlands, meadows, ponds and orchards.
- Choose a short half-hour route or a longer visit around the site.
- Route information is provided when the Tramper is hired.
- Accessible parking, accessible toilets, refreshments and dogs welcome are listed for the site.
- Available Monday to Sunday, 10.15am to 3pm, first come first served.
Cost: £2.50 per hour hire fee, plus Countryside Mobility membership if needed.

Service access criteria:
All users become a member of Countryside Mobility (£15 – annual, £5 – two weeks or £3 – single use). It’s then a hire fee of £2.50 per hour which helps to cover the running costs of the service. This can all be done at the Thames Chase Forest Centre, when you arrive.
The Trampers are available on a walk up, first come first served basis (no booking possible). Bring photo ID for becoming a member of Countryside Mobility.
