Churches for Horley Foodbank provides emergency food parcels to individuals and families in need within the Horley area. Our service is designed to support those facing financial hardship or crisis, ensuring access to essential food and basic supplies.
How it works:
- To use the food bank, you must have a referral from an approved agency. We accept referrals from Citizens Advice, probation service, children’s centres, health visitors, doctors’ surgeries, social services, housing trusts, the police, local schools, and more.
- Self-referrals are not accepted. Please contact one of the agencies listed above to request a referral.
- Once accepted, a referral lasts for 8 weeks. During this period, you can receive one food parcel per week.
- Each parcel contains dry and nonperishable food items. When available, we also provide a small amount of fresh fruit and vegetables, eggs, toiletries, and nappies.
- We do not provide food to those living in hotels where food is already provided.
For referrers: Please email referrals to horleyfoodbank@gmail.com with the client's name, postcode, number of adults and children in the family, and any special dietary requirements.
