Newham Digital Hub is dedicated to bridging the digital divide and promoting digital inclusion for socially disadvantaged people in Newham. We believe that being digitally literate is essential for managing information, communicating, accessing support, and government services, and ultimately for living more independently.
What we offer:
- Free digital skills training, including courses aligned with Essential Digital Skills Qualifications (EDSQs).
- Support to build confidence and awareness in using technology.
- Distribution of digital devices, data, and connectivity to those who need it most, especially children and young people in digitally excluded families.
- Affordable internet packages for low-income households.
- Opportunities to become a Digital Champion and help others learn basic digital skills.
Our project is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and delivered in partnership with Newham Council, Good Things Foundation, Vodafone, Power to Change, and local community centres. We strive for a society where technology is not a barrier and everyone can be safer online.
Who can benefit? Anyone in Newham who is digitally excluded, including younger and working-age adults, families, and those facing money-related problems or unemployment.
How to access: Contact us to request support, join a course, or become a digital champion. We also offer device and data distribution through The Good Things Foundation.
