Raham Project provides a safe, supportive, and culturally sensitive space for mothers and partners from ethnic minority backgrounds who have recently used or are currently using maternity services in the UK.
We offer midwife-led information and support covering every stage from conception to birth and early parenting. Our services include:
- Safe Space: Non-judgemental support for mothers and partners, linking families back to maternity care providers.
- Awareness & Training: Raising awareness of the perinatal period with a focus on mental wellbeing, and providing cultural awareness training for healthcare professionals.
- Information & Support: Representative information and a maternity support network for ethnic mothers and their partners.
- Peer Support: 1:1 and group support networks, sharing experiences to help shape local services.
- Events: Regular online and face-to-face events in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, and across the UK, offering information, support, and friendship through pregnancy, birth, and parenthood.
- RP Hub: Access tools, news, and stories about pregnancy, birth, early parenting, mental wellbeing, and baby loss.
- Podcast: Listen to our podcast for insights into midwifery and maternity from our team.
We welcome volunteers and donations to help us continue our work supporting ethnic families. All services are designed to be inclusive and representative of the communities we serve.
