B&D Works -Connect to Work

Connect to Work is a UK government-funded, voluntary programme designed to help disabled people, those with health conditions, and individuals facing other complex barriers to enter and maintain employment. It also supports those already in work who are at risk of losing their jobs. The program aims to reduce economic inactivity and increase workforce participation by providing tailored support based on individual needs.

Service access criteria:
  • Aged 18+ or in exceptional circumstances, aged 16 or 17.
  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Living within Barking and Dagenham.
  • Not on a DWP employment programme.
  • Has a disability of a long-term health condition.
  • Must meet one of the following - 1. Economically inactive or unemployed due to health 2. Employed but at risk of dropping out of work due to health or 3. a person has never been in employment or has a track record of struggling to retain jobs/sustain employment due to health.
