PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Suicide is the UK charity dedicated to preventing suicide and promoting positive mental health and emotional wellbeing in young people under 35. We believe that no young person should have to struggle alone with thoughts of suicide.
HOPELINE247 is our free, confidential, non-judgmental suicide prevention helpline, available 24/7 via phone, text, email, and webchat. Our trained advisers offer practical advice and emotional support to young people, concerned others, and professionals every day.
- Support for anyone under 35 experiencing thoughts of suicide
- Help for parents, carers, and professionals worried about a young person
- Resources for coping, distraction techniques, and dealing with anxiety
- Digital safety planning via HOPELINK
- Education and training sessions for suicide prevention
We also offer downloadable help and advice resources, guides for parents and professionals, and a range of training courses to equip communities with the skills to recognise and respond to emotional distress.
All services are free and confidential. Our team is here to listen, support, and help you find hope, no matter your situation.
