Local support group for adults with Diabetes in London Borough of Richmond, together with family and friends, since 2006. There are an estimated 12,500 people living with diabetes in our borough, but 5,600 of those are undiagnosed. These people are not getting the care and treatment they should be. Our aim is to support and educate people with diabetes, raise awareness of the condition and its complications, to promote wellbeing and to help people take control of their health and limit the risk of complications. We hold evening meetings around 6 times a year at St Mary’s Church Hall Twickenham TW1 3NJ from 7pm to 8.30pm, have coffee mornings in a local coffee shop (Esquires,35 King Street, Twickenham), and attend local fairs and health events. The events are for people living with diabetes, pre-diabetes, their families and friends.
