Adolescent Girls Mentoring

Adolescent Girls Mentoring is a 12-week, one-to-one programme for girls aged 11 to 16 who have experienced or witnessed domestic abuse. Our mentoring helps young women understand their emotions, build confidence and self-esteem, and develop healthy relationships for the future.

Each week, a dedicated female support worker offers a safe space to talk, listen, and guide the young person through their experiences. Sessions cover:

  • Understanding the impact of domestic abuse and trauma
  • Recognising healthy and unhealthy relationships
  • Strategies for staying safe, including online safety and consent
  • Building trusted relationships and support networks
  • Breaking down stigma and secrecy around abuse

We offer flexible support: sessions can be held in-person at school, college, our offices, or a community centre, and can also take place via WhatsApp, phone, or Facetime. We work closely with local schools and colleges in Canterbury, Ashford, and Folkestone & Hythe to ensure a safe and secure environment for mentoring.

Our goal is to help young women move past their experiences, thrive, and prepare for healthy future relationships.

Current waiting list is 6-9 months.
