Housing Disrepair Support

Do you rent a home with damp, mould, leaks, pests or broken heating that your landlord has not fixed? Support for Tenants helps renters, people in temporary accommodation, leaseholders and shared owners in England and Wales when a landlord or housing provider has been told about repairs but has not put them right. They assess the housing problem, explain options, and may arrange inspection and legal referral where appropriate. - Supports issues such as damp, mould, leaks, broken heating, pests and structural problems - Contacts the resident within one working day after a referral - Explains the process in plain language, with no pressure to continue - Arranges a property inspection if the resident wants to proceed - If there is a viable claim, refers it to an SRA-regulated solicitor on a no-win, no-fee basis Cost: No upfront cost. If a claim goes ahead, the resident only pays if they win, with the fee taken from compensation. How to access: Request a referral through Joy.
