Rising Sun Outreach Support offers free, confidential, and specialist support for adults (16+) experiencing domestic abuse who are considered medium risk. Our Outreach Support Workers provide practical and emotional help, empowering you to become free from abuse or safer within your relationship.
What we offer:
- Personalised safety planning for you and your children
- Support and advice on your rights and available options
- Guidance through criminal and civil remedies, including prosecution processes
- Advocacy with agencies such as police, health services, schools, and victim support
- Referrals to further support, including group programmes and our Support Café
Support is delivered primarily over the phone, with the option for safe, in-person meetings at community spaces or our weekly One Stop Shop. We are independent from the police and courts, ensuring your voice and needs are at the centre of all support.
Eligibility: Adults aged 16+ living in Canterbury, Ashford, or Folkestone & Hythe, assessed as medium risk (DASH score 9-14). Referrals can be made by professionals, friends, family, or self-referral.
Cost: All services are free of charge for victim-survivors.
Our team is here to help you move towards safety and recovery, for as long as you need. Once you’re safe, we can refer you to further support if needed.
