Information and advice

Age UK Cambridgeshire & Peterborough offers a free and confidential information and advice service for people aged 60yrs and over, their families and carers.

Information and Advice is provided over the phone, by calling a helpline (0300 666 9860) open Mon- Fri 9-3pm and answered by our team of local Information Officers, or by emailing infoandadvice@ageukcap.org.uk .  We offer free, impartial, confidential information and advice on a variety of things including:

  • Local social and leisure activities
  • Local practical support services
  • Matters relating to finance
  • Benefit checks and maximising income
  • Housing support
  • Adult Social Care navigation
  • Health services
  • Community care
  • Finding care

 

We are a DWP registered organisation. We can do benefit checks and can support applications for grants especially for heating. We offer advice and casework and working towards the national IAQP certification (Information and Advice Quality Programme) All staff keep updated and follow the Human Rights Act, Mental Capacity Act, Mental Health Act and Care Act.
