Our Individual Placement and Support (IPS) employment service can help you take the next step towards work — at your pace, in your way.

Who can join?
If you’re receiving support from a NELFT secondary mental health team in Havering, you can access our IPS service for free.

Service access criteria:

Service Access Criteria – IPS Employment Support (Havering)
To access the IPS (Individual Placement and Support) Employment Service, individuals must meet the following criteria:

✅ Age: 18 years and over
✅ Location: Registered with a GP in the London Borough of Havering
✅ Current support: Open and actively receiving support from a NELFT secondary mental health team (e.g. Community Recovery Team, Early Intervention in Psychosis, Personality Disorder Pathway)
✅ Employment goal: Express a genuine interest in finding or sustaining paid employment
✅ Consent: Agree to engage with an Employment Specialist and share relevant information to support job searching and wellbeing at work

We work closely with care coordinators to ensure they are updated with progress

Referrals:

Referrals can be made by care coordinators, support workers, or other NELFT professionals
Self-referrals are also welcome via the Joy App or by contacting the IPS team directly
⚠️ Please note:
The IPS service is available only to individuals currently supported by secondary mental health services within NELFT.
