Game Academy

Love gaming? So do we.

The Coalfields Game Academy is a new, free online programme helping young gamers in East Durham / St Helens / Stoke turn their passion into real-world skills and opportunities.

You’ll work with others to design your own game, meet people from the industry, and learn how to use your gaming experience to boost your confidence, creativity and career.

Funded by the UK Government’s Department for Science, Innovation and Technology through its Digital Inclusion Innovation Fund.

 

How we use your data: We collect your name, age, and contact details via Joy App so we can sign you up for Coalfields Game Academy and keep in touch about sessions. If you’re under 18, we’ll need your parent or guardian’s consent before we use your data. We will share your details with Game Academy, as they deliver the programme. Your information is kept safe using secure systems and only seen by people who need it. You can ask to see or change your data at any time. If you’re worried about how your data is used, you can tell us at gdpr@coalfields-regen.org.uk. When submitting a referral you will be asked to confirm that the service user and the parent/guardian (if applicable) of the service user understand and accept how their data is being used.
