NHS Kent and Medway Talking Therapies is a free service that provides short-term, evidence-based treatments for common mental health problems.

Our self-referral process:
You can self-refer to our talking therapies service by calling, texting, or clicking on the refer button. If you click refer, you'll be taken directly to our digital assistant pop-up which means you don’t have to go through your GP or other healthcare professional.
We work with people in Kent and Medway who are experiencing:
• Depression and low mood
• Stress
• Panic and agoraphobia
• Worry and generalised anxiety disorder (GAD)
• Phobias
• Obsessive compulsive disorder
• Post-traumatic stress disorder
• Health anxiety
• Social anxiety
• Long-term health conditions
Our services can be accessed both online and in person, and include:
• Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)
• CBT based guided self help
• Computerised CBT
• Counselling for depression
• Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)
• Interpersonal psychotherapy for depression (IPT)
• Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT)
• Couple’s therapy and Counselling for Depression
We can only accept referrals for people who:
• Are aged 17.5 or older
• Are registered with a GP in Kent and or Medway
• Are not already engaging with any other mental health services
