Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nursing charity supporting families across the UK.
When someone develops dementia, it affects not only the person with the diagnosis but also everyone around them. Dementia UK is here for the whole family, offering free, expert advice, support, and understanding through our team of specialist nurses, known as Admiral Nurses.
How we help:
- Admiral Nurse Dementia Helpline: Speak to a dementia specialist nurse for advice, support, and understanding.
- Virtual and face-to-face clinics: Book appointments for tailored support, including specialist services for Black, African, and Caribbean communities.
- Support for young onset dementia: Information, resources, and a dedicated programme for people under 65 and their families.
- Practical and emotional support: Get help with caring tips, planning for the future, and compassionate emotional support.
Our nurses are experts in dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia, Lewy body dementia, and frontotemporal dementia. They help families navigate the fear and confusion of dementia, providing a much-needed lifeline when it matters most.
