Activities for Adults at Beckton Globe Library


We offer a wide range of free, regular activities for adults.
Please note: Exercise classes require registration at your first visit, and attendance will be recorded at all following sessions.
Activities are suitable for adults who can attend independently unless otherwise stated.
 
Weekly Activities
Knit and Natter
A friendly drop‑in group open to all abilities. Bring your own project or use our materials.
Mondays: 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Wednesdays: 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Kundalini Yoga (30+)
Suitable for all abilities.
Mondays: 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Registration required for your first session; attendance taken each week.
 
Chair Yoga (30+)
Gentle, seated yoga suitable for beginners.
Tuesdays: 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Registration required for first session; attendance taken weekly.
 
Chair Pilates (30+)
A low‑impact strengthening class.
Wednesdays: 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Registration required for first session; attendance taken weekly.
 
Forever Young Club (50+)
A friendly social club for older adults.
Wednesdays: 10:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Attendance details required each visit.
 
Social Walking Group
A relaxed, friendly walk led by a trained volunteer walk leader.
Fridays: Meet 11:00 a.m. in Kingsford Square outside the library.

Walking Basketball (30+)
A fun, low‑impact basketball session led by a trained coach.
Saturdays: 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
 
Councillor Surgery Drop‑in
Speak with a local councillor for advice and support.
Saturdays: 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
