Exercise referral provides personalised exercise programming for adults living with long term health conditions or disabilities and is available at various different locations in the City. Participating venues include: Abbey Sports Centre, Parkside Pools & Gym, Chesterton Sports Centre, Hills Road Sports & Tennis centre, Cherry Hinton Village Centre, The Meadows Community centre. The service is provided by highly qualified (level 3 & 4) fitness professionals working for Cambridge City Council and GLL's Healthwise services. The activities provided include: supervised gym sessions, bespoke gym programming, long-term condition classes, cancer rehabilitation, cardiac rehabilitation, home and online programmes. All activities are subsidised for a minimum of 12-weeks with optional monthly memberships also available at a reduced rate. Home and online exercise programmes are available for free. Access to the exercise referral service is via a HEALTH PROFESSIONAL ONLY. Referral forms and eligibility for referral are available to view and download from the website.
