Community Support - AgeUK Sutton

Age UK Sutton's Community Support service offers free, regulated Information and Advice for people aged 50 and over in the Sutton area. Our friendly team is here to help you think about “What matters to me?” and work with you to manage and overcome challenges in your circumstances.

What we offer:

  • Free Income Maximisation checks, help with applying for benefits and pension advice, and support with appeals.
  • Housing and Home: Information on housing options, staying safe and warm at home, home adaptations, and remaining independent.
  • Social Care: Help accessing social services, getting support at home, and understanding funding options.
  • Health: Information on age-related health conditions and navigating health services.
  • Legal Matters: Support with wills, Power of Attorney, and dealing with estates.
  • Local Services: Guidance on services available in Sutton and how to access them.
  • Transport: Advice on travel options, including help applying for Oyster 60+, Taxi Cards, Freedom Passes, and Blue Badges.

Benefit Entitlement Checks: Our expert advisors offer one-to-one sessions to ensure you receive all the benefits you're entitled to, and provide support throughout the application process.

  • Drop-in: Visitors welcome, but you may be asked to book an appointment if staff are unavailable

  • Outreach: Information sessions held at locations across the borough; call for details
