Verified service

Barking and Dagenham Stop Smoking services offer free, confidential support to help you quit. If you live, work or study in Barking and Dagenham and are aged 12 or older, you can access a range of help to stop smoking. You can choose from: one-to-one support with a Tobacco Dependence Advisor; stop smoking support at local pharmacies; a Stop Smoking helpline; and online appointments. Appointments are available at Barking Learning Centre, Dagenham Library, Marks Gate Community Hub, Thames Community Hub, and online. To start, complete the registration form to book an appointment with a tobacco dependence advisor; once submitted you’ll receive a booking link to choose a convenient slot. If you need help completing the form, email healthy.lifestyles@lbbd.gov.uk or call 020 8724 8018. The service also offers a Swap to Stop programme (free vape kit bundle and eight weeks of behavioural support) and, for a limited period, free premium membership to the Stop Smoking app. The NHS Stop Smoking service provides general information, and Stop Smoking London offers local guidance and resources. The Stop Smoking service is free to Barking and Dagenham residents.
