Support for people with sight and hearing loss

Deafblind UK is here to support anyone living with sight and hearing loss, their families, and carers across the UK.

We offer a wide range of free and accessible services designed to help people who are deafblind live confidently and independently. Our support includes:

  • Practical Support: Help with everyday activities such as shopping, catching up with friends, and maintaining independence.
  • Emotional Support: Friendly advice, someone to talk to when feeling overwhelmed or lonely, and reassurance for those who need it.
  • Information and Advice: Expert guidance on living with sight and hearing loss, including downloadable fact sheets and resources.
  • Help with Technology: Assistance with smartphones, listening aids, and digital tools to help you stay connected.
  • Discounted Holidays: Specially arranged breaks in Norfolk for people with sensory loss.
  • Membership: Free membership for people who are deafblind, their carers, and professionals, giving access to all our support services.
  • Local Services: Use our search tool to find deafblind-friendly groups, activities, and venues near you.

We also provide Open Hand Magazine, a free quarterly publication with articles and information tailored for people with dual sensory loss.

Our team is available to offer comfort, understanding, and practical help, whether you need support at home, advice on technology, or just someone to talk to. We work with professionals, offer learning and development opportunities, and run awareness campaigns to make society more accessible for people with sight and hearing loss.

All services are free to access, and you can contact us by phone, text, or email for support or to make a referral.

For more information, visit our website or call us today. We are here every step of the way.
