Fulham Good Neighbours has been supporting older people and those with disabilities in Fulham since 1966. We offer a wide range of practical and wellbeing services designed to help you live life to the fullest, connect with others, and contribute to your community.
Our services include:
- Support at Home & in the Garden: Minor home repairs and decorating (e.g. putting up shelves, fixing fittings, replacing bulbs), gardening (lawn mowing, weeding, pruning), and our Adopt A Garden scheme, which pairs volunteers with beneficiaries for gardening help and friendly support.
- Support in the Community: The Good Neighbour Scheme provides emergency shopping, transport, escorting to appointments, and running errands. Our Befriending service offers regular in-person or phone chats with a matched volunteer. We also run social clubs with activities such as chair-based exercise, art, lunch clubs, reading, choir, and textiles workshops.
- Support Online: Live, online chair-based exercise sessions for those with limited mobility, digital inclusion support (1:1 help with digital skills at home or at our centre), free laptop lending, digital drop-ins, and free Wi-Fi connectivity at our centre.
Our projects aim to reduce loneliness, isolation, and poverty among older people and those with disabilities. We focus on meaningful engagement through social, creative, and physical activities, which are proven to enhance wellbeing.
How to access our services: We usually require 5-7 days' notice to assist with requests. Please contact us by email or phone, or click 'Join us Today' on our website to fill in your details.
Note: Due to high demand, we are not accepting new referrals for our Befriending & Good Neighbour Scheme until after 1st November 2025. Please check back for updates.
All services are free for those who cannot afford private alternatives.
We are committed to creating an inclusive community where neighbours look out and care for each other.
