Worried about paying for food, energy or other essentials in a crisis? Newham Council’s Crisis and Resilience Fund offers short-term urgent financial assistance for Newham residents who are experiencing hardship because of the high cost of living. Support is discretionary and is assessed individually, based on need and funds available to the Council. - Help with essential household costs, including food - Help with prepayment meter energy bills - Other items may be considered in exceptional circumstances - Support may be provided through supermarket vouchers or BACS payments - For people aged over 16 who are liable for household bills and meet the fund’s criteria Cost: Free How to access: Request a referral through Joy.
