Get involved and make a difference in your local community! EcoLocal offers a wide range of volunteering opportunities for people of all backgrounds, abilities, and interests. Whether you want to help with accessible cycling, community gardening, local events, or historic building renovation, there’s a role for you.
Current volunteering roles include:

- Eco-Fair: Join the team at the Carshalton Eco-Fair. Help organise music and arts, promote the event, liaise with stall holders, or assist as a steward or on the information desk.
- Walled Garden Renovation: Help restore a Victorian walled garden at The Lodge, Carshalton Ecology Centre. Various gardening and renovation tasks available.
- Plant Sales: Volunteer at our plant stall at Wallington Farmers’ Market to raise funds for our community allotment. Advise buyers and help run the stall (no expert knowledge required).
- Community Allotment: Support therapeutic food growing sessions for people with learning difficulties and mental health challenges. Help ensure participants are safe, happy, and engaged in gardening activities.
