Horticultural Therapy at Ridgeline Trust

Ridgeline Trust offers supportive horticultural therapy sessions designed for people of all abilities and experience levels. Our sessions are guided by qualified horticultural therapists and supported by friendly volunteers, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone.

What to expect:

  • Therapeutic gardening activities tailored to individual needs, abilities, and goals
  • Seasonal tasks such as seed sowing, potting-on, dead-heading, weeding, watering, and digging
  • Access to a heated polytunnel for gardening in colder or wetter weather
  • Indoor activities in our spacious pavilion, including crafts and cooking with garden produce, when outdoor gardening isn’t possible
  • All equipment and tools provided
  • Opportunities to learn new skills or rediscover old ones, regardless of prior gardening experience
  • Tea and coffee provided; bring your own packed lunch to enjoy with others
  • Plenty of space to sit outdoors or indoors, depending on the weather

Accessibility: Our garden features a wheelchair-accessible path, level access to the pavilion, and accessible toilets, making it easy for everyone to participate.

Session times and cost:

  • Monday mornings and Tuesday mornings and/or afternoons
  • £20 per session, or £40 for a full day
