Adult Cycle Training

My Journey is a borough-wide active and sustainable travel behaviour change campaign that aims to help and inspire Wokingham residents, employees and visitors of all ages to walk, scoot, cycle or use public transport.

Adult cycle training runs weekly with both beginners and improvers sessions in the morning on the tennis courts.  The enforced hiatus has meant that adults with little or no experience in riding a bike haven’t been able to gain the skills and confidence from our qualified and experienced instructors, to get out and enjoy Wokingham’s lovely cycle routes.

Cycling for pleasure or commuting purposes has been taken up by far more adults and families in lockdown and we know people are enjoying the outdoor experience on 2 wheels when we have spent too much time stuck indoors.

We have had much success with our adult cycle training with both men and ladies and whether you’re rusty or a complete beginner, so come along and give it a try!

Adult cycle training is delivered on Saturday at Woodford Park Leisure Centre (usually term time and weather dependent)

Beginners 10-11am
Improvers 11-12pm

A bike and helmet can be provided but we would need to know height of participant

cost £6 per session. Please contact directly for any financial difficulties.
