Citizens Advice Sutton

Citizens Advice Sutton is a registered charity dedicated to providing free, confidential, and impartial information and advice to residents of the London Borough of Sutton. Our expert team can help you with a wide range of issues, including:

  • Welfare benefits
  • Housing
  • Debt advice (including Debt Relief Orders, regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority)
  • Financial and legal matters
  • Support for unpaid carers (in partnership with local organisations)

We are part of the Together for Sutton (TfS) partnership, offering a Single Point of Access (SPA) for residents and professionals who are unsure where to get help. Our service is free, independent, and open to everyone in Sutton.

How to access our services:

  • Phone: Call our advice line for information or to arrange an appointment.
  • Online: Complete our secure web form and we will call you back, usually within three working days.
  • Face to face: Visit our Sutton office (under the Central Library) for a socially distanced drop-in service, Monday to Friday, 10am–3pm (except bank holidays).

We also offer a specialist debt advice team and can connect you to other local support services as needed. Our staff and volunteers are here to help you navigate difficult situations with understanding and respect.

Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm (phone); 10am–3pm (in person, except bank holidays).

Cost: All advice and support services are free of charge.

If you are a new unpaid carer, ask about our free course in partnership with Sutton College and other local organisations.

We are committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all clients. Aggression or abuse towards staff or volunteers will not be tolerated.
