Would you like to build customer service and theatre production experience while supporting a local Newham heritage event?
This was a one-off volunteering role for people aged over 16 to support The Workers United, an original play about the Silvertown Workers Strike of 1889. Volunteers were asked to help with front of house, ushering and production support tasks on the event day.
- Welcome guests on arrival and check tickets
- Show guests to seats and hand out printed programmes
- Help serve teas, coffees and soft drinks
- Support scene changes by moving light tables and chairs
- Help set up, pack away, tidy the venue and collect evaluation forms
- Receive a role briefing 30 minutes before the event
