Plot To Plate

Plot to Plate has two fully accessible allotments, one at Little Chester Allotments in Chaddesden and the other at Normanton Park Allotments.
The Allotments have been created to allow disabled and older adults to garden in a safe, secure, supported, environment whilst learning how to ‘grow your own’, make the perfect composts and organic fertilisers, harvest rain water, and look after the many fruit trees and bushes we have.

Each Plot has raised beds, paved walkways, large polytunnels, toilet facilities, and the all-important Tea shed! As well as gardening the project offers many creative and eco-friendly activities which include building bug hotels and bird houses.

All of our produce is donated to members and the local community and used in our regular cookery classes.

So if you are disabled or an older person who can’t manage an allotment on your own or if you want to volunteer to support this project, please get in touch. We’d love to have you. By the way – It’s free, we do not charge for this project, which is why we are relying on donations to keep this lovely project active.
