Carnival Workshops

UKON Careers is a Community Interest Company (C.I.C) established in May 2014, dedicated to empowering young people and the wider community through career guidance, motivational support, and carnival arts.

Our mission is to deliver inspiring projects that promote community cohesion, inclusion, and well-being. We develop carnival arts both locally and nationally, engaging people of all backgrounds to foster skills, cultural appreciation, and stronger communities.

What We Offer:

  • Workshops: Join our selection of creative workshops, including T-shirt making, face painting, and summer camps for kids. These activities are designed to build employability skills, boost confidence, and encourage self-expression.
  • Annual Carnival: Celebrate Caribbean culture at our Barking & Dagenham Carnival, a vibrant event that brings together people of all ages and backgrounds.
  • Community Projects: We run intergenerational projects that support mental health, reduce violence, and promote safety in expressive, inclusive spaces.

Who Can Join? Our services are open to everyone, regardless of age or background. We are committed to accessibility and inclusion, supporting individuals to achieve their full potential.

Get Involved: Explore our workshops, attend our events, or contact us to learn more about how you can participate. We look forward to welcoming you!
