Located between Corby and Stamford in Northamptonshire, Fineshade Wood offers a picturesque setting for walking, cycling, family adventures, and relaxing in nature. Whether you want a leisurely stroll among the trees, a safe and family-friendly cycle ride, or a fun-filled day at our inclusive play areas, there’s something for everyone.

  • Walking & Cycling: Enjoy scenic forest walks and off-road cycle trails, including a five-mile family route.
  • Family Fun: Explore interactive trails like the Stick Man adventure, sensory play zones, and Forest Walkies with Wallace & Gromit.
  • Facilities: Accessible toilets, baby changing, inclusive play areas, bird and wildlife hides, cycle hire, picnic spots, and a visitor centre.
  • Grounds Cafe: Relax in the historic courtyard with homemade cakes and signature coffee after your forest activities.
  • Dog Friendly: Dogs are welcome throughout the site, including assistance dogs.

Parking: Charges apply and are cashless (card or device). Disabled parking spaces are available. Members park for free with an annual pass. Early bird and coach/minibus rates available.

Opening Hours: Open every day except Christmas Day. Car park: 7am–10pm (Mar–Oct), 7am–6pm (Nov–Feb). Cafe and facilities: 9.30am–4pm (Mon–Fri), 9am–4.30pm (Sat–Sun).

Access: Nine accessible parking spaces, accessible toilets, baby changing, and inclusive play areas. Please take your litter home as there are no bins on site.

Membership: Regular visitors can save money and support the forest by becoming a member.

Safety: Please do not light BBQs, campfires, or stoves in the forest.
