Citizens Advice Hounslow

Citizens Advice Hounslow is the operating name of Hounslow Citizens Advice Bureaux Service. We are a registered charity as well as a company limited by guarantee and a member of our parent organisation, Citizens Advice.

Citizens Advice Hounslow is governed by our ‘Memorandum and Articles of Association’ and overseen by a trustee board comprising of members from the local community, who bear overall responsibility for the organisation. This responsibility is delegated to the Chief Executive Officer who maintains and develops our services to meet the needs of the local community, and the Management Team who manage and oversee the day to day operations of the charity.

Citizens Advice Hounslow has a team of more than 60 people – mostly volunteers – who work together to deliver advice and information services for the local community.

Last year our advisers provided free, confidential advice to more than 9,300 clients across the borough, with over 32,000 problems. Of these, more than a third were welfare benefits issues, particularly Universal Credit.

Citizens Advice Hounslow has two offices, one on Feltham High Street and the other just off of Chiswick High Road, in addition to outreach venues across the borough from which we offer generalist and specialist advice.

The Chiswick branch of the charity is believed to be one of the first 200 Citizens Advice bureaux which opened their doors to the public on 4 September 1939, the day after Britain declared war on Germany.
