Free cycling development sessions for children aged 7-14

The City Academy project is designed to provide free cycling activity within the local community but also discover cycling talent!

Within Newham, we have 2 City HUB sessions - a Plaistow Park session (every Tuesday 4-5pm) and an Olympic Park session (every Thursday 4.30-5.30pm). The sessions are free cycling development sessions for children, aged 7-14, who can already ride a bike, and want to progress their cycling and race skills.  All equipment is provided, so register today and come along!

Children who attend the City HUB sessions, have the opportunity to be invited onto the City Academy talent sessions. These are sessions part of the British Cycling talent pathway and provide an opportunity for young riders to discover their talent in track cycling and bmx!

We also have the opportunity to train local individuals to become training cycling coaches. Anyone over the age of 18, can apply for a City HUB bursary to fully fund a level 1 coaching course in cycling. Volunteers are then asked to support at at least 1 session a month.
