Torquay PCN Youth Worker Service

Our youth worker is here to support young people on whatever matters to them. 

We aim to empower young people to take control over their situation by creating a plan together, helping to link them to services to enable positive life changes. 

We work with young people aged 11-18 who are dealing with a range of issues that might include:

Social needs & interaction - Lonely/isolated/lacking direction in life/low confidence/low self-esteem & social anxiety
Education/training/engagement support 
School exclusion
Bullying 
Personal relationships
Family home life
Identity/LGBT
Self-esteem 
Mental Health – Depression, anxiety, stress & low mood (to give direction & purpose in life)
Long term health conditions 
Support with smoking/alcohol/Drugs 
Lifestyle support/ weight management
Eating disorders
Coping with bereavement and loss
Engagement with community groups/peers, local activities/clubs/interests 
Young carers/respite/support/education 
Young parents/living arrangements/support/local groups
Young offenders
Young people in care
