Shed Life - Humourisk CIC

No waiting list, just turn up to our weekly drop-in Wednesday 10-12pm to find out more.

Shed Life is a community-led project, started by local residents on the Thames View Estate, Barking.

We have co-designed a shed with University of East London Architecture students, which is being constructed this summer with help from Bellway Homes. The shed will be a place for residents who have experienced loneliness who may have felt left out and local young people, (young volunteers), who want to connect, create and learn. A place residents can come to when they need company, a place to talk to others and maybe share ideas and skills; get involved in arts and crafts workshops and volunteer to help with community events and celebrations.

It's not just any old shed but a shed that is fully accessible to everyone; a place to chat to each other, somewhere to work on hobbies; and where residents can just be themselves.
