Chemogiftbags

We are setup to provide a chemotherapy gift bag for all diagnosed with Breast Cancer & undergoing chemotherapy treatment in the Thames Valley Area.

#Chemogiftbags is for Breast Cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy in the Thames Valley area.

We will always try and offer a Chemogiftbag to people who have primary Breast Cancer and then to people who have secondary’s caused by Breast Cancer.

We do prefer to deliver the bag at the hospital, and as near to starting chemotherapy as possible.

Chemogiftbags started as a thought in the early part of 2015. A list was compiled with suggestions of what would help someone going through Chemotherapy.

Suggestions then became a list, a list then became a shopping list, and a shopping list then went to a shopping bag. The shopping bag was named Chemogiftbags.

The project became more than an idea.

It started to become a reality.

Chemogiftbags is about letting people know we care.

Many people go through cancer feeling isolated and alone and having no one to care for them in their times of need. It’s a very daunting time so we provide a bag with items that have been hand-packed with thought and care.

From natural organic toiletries to help with sensitive skin, fluffy soft socks for your feet, as they can get very sore and sensitive, to a puzzle book to pass the time away while having chemotherapy. Delicate teas as your taste buds change and handcrafted cards that say “Thinking of You “. Hand knitted lap blankets and a heart-shaped cushion to support under the arm following breast surgery

There has been a lot of thought and planning to get Chemogiftbags off the ground. The team is made up of Trustees of which 2 of us have had BC and still fighting the disease and also our amazing Ambassadors. We, therefore, know firsthand what it is like and we want to support others going through it.

We would like this service to go from strength to strength and provide a bag for as many people as possible who have Breast Cancer, and are having chemotherapy in the Thames Valley area.

Please help us to help others and let people know we are here and we care.
