The Barking Birth Centre provides midwifery-led care for pregnancy and the early postnatal period, with infant feeding support and antenatal classes. Our experienced midwives accompany you from your initial appointment through your pregnancy and after birth. The centre also runs antenatal and postnatal check-ups, scans and personalised support so families can access care locally. From 30 June 2025 births at Barking Birth Centre are paused to ensure safety; families can still access regular antenatal and postnatal care at the centre and have birth options including hospital birth, home birth, or the alongside midwifery-led unit at Newham Hospital, which offers a similar experience to Barking Birth Centre.
