Barking Community Birth Centre will remain temporarily closed for labour and birth until 31 August 2023. We recommend anyone who was due to give birth at the centre attend our alongside midwifery unit, The Birth Centre, at Newham Hospital where services are continuing to run as normal.

If you were expecting to have your baby at the Barking Community Birth Centre, our team should have already been in contact with you. If you haven't been contacted, please call 0208 252 8281 and one of our team will be happy to help.

The centre remains open for all antenatal and postnatal appointments. If you are due to have an antenatal or postnatal appointment, you should still attend your appointment as planned.
