Tackle It

Tackle It is Derby County Community Trust’s wellbeing programme (early-intervention) for young males who are struggling with their mental wellbeing.
The sessions aim to give participants a ‘safe space’ to chat, socialise and take part in fun activities. The aim is to keep a relaxed atmosphere where people can meet others who may be experiencing similar challenges, whilst taking partin physical activity and workshops. Participants also take part in social actions projects and trips.
Mondays, Normanton Park Community Centre, Warwick Ave, Derby DE23 8DA, 6.00-7.30pm
Tuesdays, Derwent Family Youth and Community Centre, DE21 6BD, 6.00-7.30pm

Eligibility/service access criteria12-17 year old only
Child isn't currently receiving help from CAHMS unless there is an overlap.
Child not willing to engage
Parent/guardian does not consent
Complexity of presentation is not suitable for the programme
The child is in a current mental health crisis
Substance misuse is the primary presenting problem.
