West Berkshire Suicide Prevention Action Group

The West Berkshire Suicide Prevention Action Group was established in 2017. A group of charitable, statutory and special interest groups came together to explore and understand suicide in West Berkshire.

The aim of the group is to reduce incidences of suicide by providing training and building awareness of the resources available. We want people to feel enabled and prepared when talking to people who may have suicidal thoughts.

We have created a website to connect people who may have suicidal thoughts. The Suicide Prevention Action Group does not provide support directly for people in crisis but the organisations listed may be able to help.

Support can be offered to those situated in Lambourn, Hungerford, Kintbury, Newbury, Chieveley, Thatcham, Hermitage, Woolhampton, Aldermaston, Theale, Pangbourne, Tilehurst, Highclere, Woolton Hill and all West Berkshire parishes.

We have an outreach worker who provides training and resources for local businesses, sports clubs and local frontline workers.  Training dates can be found on our website volunteerwestberks.org.uk/voluntary-sector-training/
