Volunteering: The Museum is currently recruiting Front of House volunteers. This fun and vital role involves welcoming visitors, opening the museum, and helping in the shop. Admission:

  • Free for children aged 12 and under, and for carers accompanying a visitor.
  • Admission fee for visitors aged 13 and over, with reduced rates for jobseekers, students, and those aged 13–18. See website for details.

Accessibility: The museum building is not wheelchair accessible, but the shop is accessible via a street-level entrance. There is a wheelchair accessible toilet on the ground floor.

Getting there: Located on Castle Hill, at the corner of Castle Street and Northampton Street. No parking on site; nearest bus stop is on Bridge Street via Madingley Road Park & Ride.
