Barnsley Recovery Steps – Burleigh Court offers free and confidential support for anyone aged 18 or over living in Barnsley who wants to make changes to their drug or alcohol use.

We understand that everyone’s goals are different. Whether you want to make small changes, stop completely, or reduce risk, our friendly team is here to help you work towards your personal goals without judgement.

Our service includes:

  • Support for physical, emotional, and mental health needs
  • Needle exchange and harm reduction (Needle Syringe Programme available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday 9.15am–4.45pm, Thursday 9.15am–6.45pm)
  • Community and inpatient detox programmes
  • Access to residential rehabilitation
  • One-to-one support and a full group programme
  • Support with referrals for housing and managing your money
  • Community social activities
  • Education, training, and employment opportunities
  • Counselling service

Who can use this service?

  • People aged 18 or over
  • People living in Barnsley
  • Anyone worried about their own or someone else's drug and/or alcohol use

Opening times:

  • Monday: 9am–5pm
  • Tuesday: 9am–5pm
  • Wednesday: 9am–5pm

  • Friday: 9am–5pm
