**Overview:**
Approach Counselling, operated by Trade Sexual Health, offers professional talking therapy designed for individuals facing various personal challenges. Our primary focus is on supporting LGBT+ individuals, but we also welcome 'new arrivals' to Leicester—those who have migrated internationally within the last five years.
**Who We Help:**
- LGBT+ individuals seeking support with:
- Questions about sexual or gender identity
- (Re)negotiating boundaries in relationships
- Experiences of sexual or domestic violence
- Coping with an HIV diagnosis
- Other personal issues in a safe, affirming environment
- New arrivals in Leicester for any reason.
**Service Details:**
- **Location:** City Centre Office, with some online sessions available.
- **Availability:**
- Potential waiting list; you will be contacted as slots open.
- **Fees:**
- First assessment session: Free
- Suggested donation: Up to £10 per session thereafter.
- Sliding scale fee structure planned for 2024, with some free sessions for clients in extreme financial need.
- **Session Length:**
- Each session lasts 50 minutes, occurring weekly or fortnightly based on an agreement between the client and counsellor.
- **Confidentiality:**
- All sessions are confidential; specifics discussed during the assessment session.
- **Qualifications:**
- All counsellors are experienced, supervised, and members of professional counselling bodies.
