Autism Support Allerdale and Copeland

Autism Support Allerdale & Copeland is a local support group dedicated to parent carers, relatives, and friends of children and adults who have (or are waiting for) a diagnosis of Autism. We understand that living with disabilities can be lonely and isolating, so we offer a welcoming community and a lifeline for our members.

What we offer:

  • Monthly meetings for support, connection, and sharing experiences.
  • Invitations to representatives from local organisations and speakers to help members access all available services.
  • Visits from local companies working to make their venues more Autism-friendly.
  • Group outings to local attractions, parties, and bowling, ensuring activities for all age ranges—supporting people from childhood through adulthood.
  • A permanent centre for children and adults with Autism, as well as their families, to visit and access support tailored to their needs.
  • Training days for parent carers, teachers, and nursery workers, with positive feedback and plans for more events in the future.

We are proud to be a registered charity, thanks to the dedication of our members who have raised awareness and funds through coffee mornings, raffles, and sponsored events. Our goal is to continue expanding our presence and support within the Autistic community of West Cumbria.

Everyone is welcome—whether you are a parent, carer, family member, or friend. Join us to connect, learn, and find support in a friendly, understanding environment.
